Texas Hold’Em Rules – Basic Rules When Playing Poker
If you think of ‘poker’ you naturally think of Texas Hold’em. That’s natural – it’s Hold’em that you see being played on TV all the time. But many variations of poker exist, but all of them share certain basic rules. All poker games involve betting on the strength of a poker hand, and all poker games feature a “pot” that those bets go into. The player with the strongest hand, or the only player left in the pot after everyone else folds, wins the pot.

Texas Hold’em is the most popular poker game in the casinos and cardrooms of North America and Europe. If you want to play, you will need to learn the Texas Hold’Em poker rules first. Each player is dealt two cards (“hole cards”) which belong only to that player. Five community cards are dealt face-up on the “board”. All players may use these cards in conjunction with their own hole cards to make the best five-card poker hand possible.
